September 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join Wilton House Museum for our 021-2022 virtual lecture series!

Our first lecture of the season features Elizabeth McCague.

Elizabeth McCague, a PhD Student in Anthropology at the University of Maryland, will discuss horses and sporting culture in Virginia from the 18th to the 19th century. This talk will explore topics related to transportation, breeding, blacksmithing, racing, material culture, and the labor that supported the horse industry.

This virtual presentation will take place on Zoom. While we hope you can join us live, a recording of this lecture will be available for viewing for one month after the lecture date.

Registration is available through Eventbrite.
